Florence from Paris, France

What an atmosphere... dark and mysterious, almost scary. A powerful mono. Is this HDR ?

7 Oct 2010 6:51pm

@Florence: Thanks Florence! Yes the "base" is a 3 image HDR, this mainly enhanced the details and the light on the outside walls of the tomb. A texture (bark of an oak tree) was applied with low opacity, this mainly made the big field in front of the tomb more interesting. The original under exposed image use in the HDR was localy masked in, e.g. to make the inside of the tomb less pronounced. In the end I burned a bit here and there in the surrounding, primarily the trees in the background.

Eye-catching processing that you've achieved here! The highlights do a great job of subtly revealing the engraving on the individual panels.
